Build a Toronto that Moves
The Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA) and partners helped launch a report on June 3 called “Building a Toronto that Moves” outlining 12 actions to improve public transit, walking and cycling in Toronto.
The report, written in partnership with TCAT, TEA, Cycle Toronto, Walk Toronto and Canada Walks calls for wider sidewalks, residential sidewalk snow clearing, 200 km of new bike lanes by 2018, and improving TTC service annually.
The report notes that with improved transit service and safe, connected walking and cycling networks would solve transportation challenges in the city. See the full report online.
