Transport Futures is hosting a workshop to discuss traffic congestion in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The workshop will discuss the need for comprehensive mobility pricing policies in the GTHA. The workshop discusses the idea that rigorous business case analysis in conjunction with well-designed road pricing and parking pilot projects could help increase public acceptance by allowing drivers to experience the benefits of these measures. Main topics of conversation will include cost benefit analysis and business case approaches to transportation projects; HOT Lanes and satellite-based tolling systems; and parking technology and policy reforms.

Event speakers are:

  • Randal Thomas, Program Director, Office of Innovative Partnerships & Alternative Funding, Oregon Department of Transportation, Salem, Oregon, USA
